The ODC aims to organise/support a range of events through 2017 to foster new discussions regarding linear earthworks in the early medieval landscape, their prehistoric predecessors and subsequent life-histories.
First up, the ODC organised its inaugural workshop hosted by University Centre Shrewsbury on Friday 28th April 2017.
This was followed by the Dykes through Time Theoretical Archaeology Group session at Cardiff in December 2017.
Third, the Offa’s Dyke Heritage workshop at Knighton in March 2018.
Next came the Offa’s Dyke Conference at the Marches School, Oswestry, in September 2018.
Most recently, the Public Archaeology of Frontiers and Borderlands conference took place at the Grosvenor Museum, Chester, in March 2019.
