Since it was established in 2017, the Offa’s Dyke Collaboratory has facilitated a range of events and activities (https://offaswatsdyke.wordpress.com/odc-events/), sustained digital outreach via its website (https://offaswatsdyke.wordpress.com/), sharing news via social media (https://twitter.com/ODCollaboratory, https://www.facebook.com/OffasDykeCollaboratory), as well as disseminating academic publications via its open-access academic journal, the Offa’s Dyke Journal (http://revistas.jasarqueologia.es/index.php/odjournal/about).

For summer 2024, we aim to draw these strands together by arranging the programme of a day conference and supported by new digital presentations supported by, and organised with, the Offa’s Dyke Association addressing key themes in the study of early medieval frontiers and borderlands.

The conference will take place 09.30-16.00, 1st June, at the Venue in the Park, Alyn Waters Country Park, Gwersyllt, Wrexham, Wales and our conference theme is ‘Conflict, Collaboration and Early Medieval Frontiers’.

We will advertise the programme in April but already we can identify it will involve a mix of in person and oneline content including:
